Jonathan Rickard (J.R.) became a Certified Public Accountant in 1987 and earned a MBA from Golden Gate University in 2003. Jonathan worked in public accounting for 12 years preparing most types of tax returns, and performing public and private financial audits, tax planning, and business consulting.
In 1995, Jonathan left public accounting and joined the Internal Audit Department of E.& J. Gallo Winery. As an Audit Manager, Jonathan led distributor audits in Portland, Phoenix, Boston, New Orleans, and the United Kingdom, as well as managing other consulting projects. In addition, Jonathan worked as Accounting Manager in Gallo’s Finance Department, planning and coordinating the monthly and year-end close processes.
In 2002, Jonathan accepted the position of Billing and Systems Manager with Gallo’s logistics company, San Joaquin Valley express, now known has G3 Enterprises. He was responsible for a staff of seven in the billing of California based freight, including administering the freight planning and billing execution of the annual grape harvest. As Jonathan was no longer signing tax returns or financial audit reports as a CPA, he changed his license status as a CPA from active to inactive in 2005.
Before retiring from G3 Enterprises in June 2016, Jonathan spent his last three years in G3’s Closure Division’s accounting department working mostly with inventory costing and pricing, and assisting with the monthly and year-end accounting close. Jonathan has considerable breadth and years of accounting and business experience to offer, and at more competitive rates than most CPA firms. Call today for a free consultation (209) 651-1019.
